Education-wise, Cincinnati is well-equipped for performing arts students. The University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music offers undergraduate and post-graduate degree courses in acting, dramatic performance, ballet and dance as well as a full range of music and singing instruction. Xavier University also offers music degrees, as does the College of Mt. St. Joseph.
Job prospects in Cincinnati are excellent for performing artists. Musicians can expect their sector to grow by 15% through to 2012, while actors are projected to experience an enormous 25% increase in the total number of jobs available. There are no employment projection statistics available specifically for dancers in Cleveland but it is fair to expect that the performing arts as a whole will continue to have a strong foothold in this area.
